Single event runners: We prefer that you run on the official event date weekend (July 24-25) for the 5k, 10k and 21.1k events to help create the feeling of an official race day, but if you cannot run at that time, you may choose any day between now and August 1st to do your run. Weekly Run Series and Provincial Pass Runners, You will be able to enter your times online, beginning June 7th. Regular event runners will be able to enter their times after July 24th
Entering the Provincial Pass or Weekly Run Series also allows you to enter a time for another event as well. (*Only one race kit & medal provided per entry)
Details for THE PROVINCIAL PASS 1,568 km challenge This event starts June 1st and can be completed at your pace. This event is for teams of 1 to 4 persons ( 4 persons max - any mix of genders)* THE PROVINCIAL PASS is the distance to travel across Ontario at the longest point is 1,568 kms. That makes it 7 km per person avg. per day (based on a 4 person team) to complete this event between May 24th and end of day July 25th, 2021.* For the Team Event, all 4 individuals sign up separately and choose their Team Name. There will be a web page (TBA) where teams can update their progress. The winners are the first team to reach the goal of 1568 combined kms. There will be prizes for this event**. To be eligible for prizes, you (and/or your team must have all of your runs viewable on any publicly viewable run tracking site ( Strava, Runkeeper , Garmin Connect, MapMyRun etc). You may still do this challenge if you do not log your runs on a publicly viewable site but will not be eligible for prizes. *Teams of 2 or 3 may also compete but will remain in the same category as all teams. ** Prizes to be announced soon
BRC Jazz Run - Weekly Run Series June 7th - August 1st (Run 1 x 5k and or 1 x 10k and or 21.1k) Starting on June 7th, and the following 8 weeks, you may enter 1, 2 or 3 runs per week! (1 x 5k and or 1 x 10k and or 21.1k) At the end of the series, there will be awards for the runners with the fastest average times based on your 5 fastest times in each category. If you enter all 8 weeks, then your 5 fastest will count and 3 will be discarded, or allowing you to skip entering a time on 3 different weeks. This keeps you 'in the running' even if you need a week or 2 off for illness or injury! Entering the Weekly Series also allows you to also enter one of your fastest weekly times for 1 (one) of the official 5k, 10k or half marathon events event as well* *Only one race kit & medal provided per entry
