5/7K Run/Walk for Rayjon
Ready for a return to live events? So are we.
For our 2nd annual Trail & Ale we're planning for live, with full virtual options*.
LIVE registrations are nearly sold out! It isn't too late to get in on the VIRTAUL event!
The virtual run/walk can be completed anytime between September 11 - October 2, 2021, on any route convenient to you+. The official event route is on the Howard Watson Trail in Sarnia, but feel free to find an exciting route in your own neighbourhood. Choose 5k or 7k. The live event will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021:
Walkers: 4:00PM Runners: 4:30PM
The race will head north on the Howard Watson Trail, from Michigan Ave., with the 7K dipping into Blackwell Trails. We'll finish in easy walking distance to the Refined Fool. 5K route map 7K route map
Prizes will be awarded for:
- Best finisher celebration
- Most interesting route
- Participant from farthest away
- Best Costume
- Best hat
- Best photo
- Best video
- Most fundraising for Rayjon
- Best finish times (Men, Women, Runners)

We are all dreaming of a post-isolation pint**...so get ready to celebrate finishing the event with a cold one from the Refined Fool craft brewery. Assuming that Covid restrictions are lessened, we're gearing up for a party! (and rest assured- there will be lots of non-alcoholic food & drink, too).
T-Shirts & Beer: You will receive an email with instructions for picking up your registration package, T-shirt, & beer on Sept. 24th
(Note: We will do our best to make sure every participant gets a T-shirt prior to September 25th. Due to the difficulty ordering correct sizes in advance, registrations received after September 15, 2021 are not guaranteed a shirt).
Out-of-towners: We can mail your T-shirt to you. Please send a message to rayjonsc@gmail.com if you need your shirt mailed. Sorry, but we cannot mail the beer. If you have friends or family in Sarnia, they may be very happy to pick up your shirt for you and enjoy your beer!
Virtual: If you wish to participate in the competitive aspect of the virtual event, you will be able to time yourself. Chips/bibs will provided for the live event.
Funds raised will support families in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

*Please note: If the live event cannot proceed due to Covid, all participants will be transferred to the virtual option. Refunds will not be issued.
**Runners (19+) will receive one can of Refined Fool craft beer.
+To participate in the competitive aspect of the event, you must submit your finish times no later than 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 25th, 2021.
