Our story…
Dr. Henry Shiu was appointed Shi Wu De Professor in Chinese Buddhist Studies in July 2020. While our Foundation had made a first donation of $100,000 toward the professorship endowment; thanks to your generous donations, we were able to donate an additional $34,000 more recently. We hope that you will join us to fund-raise to contribute toward the remaining $266,000 of the $1.5 million endowment. The late Reverend Shi Wu De was the founding President of our Foundation and the founding Abbot of the Ching Kwok Temple of Toronto. He was a revered leader in the Toronto Buddhist community. The STWM event would be an auspicious occasion for us to come together to work toward fulfilling this endowment that honours our late teacher. Email Admin@BuddhistEduFoundation.com to get involved.
