July 26, 2018 changed my life forever. It was literally 4 years after my first heart attack at age 41. "It's SCAD. Your artery tore and that is what caused the heart attack.SCAD also caused your first one.” The Repeat worst day. Crushing chest pain, sweating , left arm pain and short of breath. My family was equally as traumatized as they feared the worst. I was back in an ambulance , then the cath lab. So many puzzled faces as to why I was having a heart attack..again. I feared that I would not make it and I was begging the team at HF hospital to save me. It didn't take long for me to realize that not many know about SCAD, including cardiolgists and nurses so I have been on a mission ever since. I need to help spread much needed awareness and raise money for research for this heart condition. My mission became a reality and after 2 postponed events due to the pandemic, the  1st Michigan SCADaddle for Research is scheduled.  Please join me and my team as we continue on this Crusade!
