Due to the Delta variant and based on concerns expressed by health professionals, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the West Coast/San Diego SCADaddle to 2022.
Concern for everyone’s safety is our priority.
2021 5K SCADaddle for Research -
San Diego, CA
POSTPONED to 2022 - Date TBD
Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. Most patients are young, healthy and active women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too. SCAD can recur and can be fatal. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options.
SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms.
