My Story…
YANA is a Comox Valley charity supporting expecting parents and children in need of travel outside of the community to a Children's hospital. This year we are expecting our first child in September 2021 and never expected to have the support of an organization like YANA as we are needing to travel to Vancouver for the birth of our son. They have stepped up and helped us with accommodations and expenses in preparation of our little guy and have removed the stress of finding a place to stay near the BC Children's Hospital. This year I am more than honoured in partaking in the 2021 YANA Ride and do what I can to help them out.

I would LOVE to pledge to ride every day, 1,000km or set a goal of a new trail, however with us having to travel to Vancouver in August and preparations of our son, getting the permission to get away for a ride will be difficult. I do pledge that when I get the chances, I will suffer away through the painstaking task of getting out on our trails and maybe a couple of road trips. I understand that it is not a fun task, but I will do what I can to get through it :)
Description
Every dollar raised in the community goes to help provide financial support and accommodation to Comox Valley families who need to travel to access medical care for a child or pregnant mother.
$50 = 1 night stay at a YANA apartment in Vancouver near BC Children’s Hospital
$100 = 1 night stay near Nanaimo Hospital
$200 = YANA envelope of cash for family’s emergency hospital transfer
$400 = 2 weeks stay at Jeneece Place in Victoria
$1000 = 1 month travel expense funding for a family away from home
