My Story…
I had the good fortune to visit Juno Beach and the Juno Beach Centre a few years back where I was afforded the opportunity to learn about the great efforts made by many Canadians to help defeat fascism in Europe during WWII.
As fewer and fewer of these men and women are around to tell their stories, the importance of museums like the JBC only increases. They teach all of us of the sacrifices Canadians made to try to make things better for future generations.
Like many other museums and cultural institutions, the pandemic has hit the JBC pretty hard. I am going to be walking a half-marathon over the course of a couple of days to help raise a bit of money for the JBC and to show my appreciation for WWII veterans and those who try to keep their memories alive.
Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
