My Story…
Harbour Swim year # 4 done! Thank you everyone who donated and supported the Harbour swims this year in so many ways. Everything from words of encouragement, swim buddies and wonderful finance work team members who came to harbours across NS to cheer us on! Chester, Halifax, Sydney and Pictou - done and done! You made it possible to surpass my initial goal of $1000 with some solid change left over! Yeaa!
2021
Back at the Harbour Swim again and now, with a snazzy new hip and a new knee and pain free - yay!!! This year I’m planning to do all 4 of the Harbour swims that are part of the United Way Swim - Sydney, Pictou, Halifax and Chester. In 2018 this event was a turning point for me, returning to swimming and imagining a world of activity after or even with pretty bad knees and hip. Thrilled to be part of it again this year and to be aiming for 4 swims. Join me in raising funds for United Way in helping countless local organizations in our communities. I'm swimming for the Departments of Community Services and Finance & Treasury Board proud to be part of both departments. Thank you for all your support and a special thank you to Sheila who is and continues to be an amazing booster and supporter of each of these swims.
