Friday, October 29, 2021 | 3:00 - 6:00 pm | Guntersville Rec Center
We are aware that rain is in the forecast for Saturday, but remember the Pink Pumpkin run is rain or shine! Please plan accordingly and regardless of the weather, we want you to come on out for a meaningful event! In the unlikely event of severe weather, the run will NOT be rescheduled. Look for any cancellation notices to be communicated via email and on social media Saturday morning by 6:00 AM. If you don't hear from us again by then, the race is on!
For more information, visit our Facebook page. Results for this event can be found here. Photos from the day can be found here.
We are happy to welcome you back to in-person racing, but are still battling the ever-evolving challenge of Covid-19. We are committed to following the guidance of public health officials and the requirements of our community and government partners, as well as our own precautions to limit lines and crowds. Therefore, PLEASE BE AWARE BEFORE YOU REGISTER, that for the safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and other partners, this year's event will NOT INCLUDE race day registration or packet pickup, the traditional Pink Pancake Brunch or children's activities (such as bounce houses and face painting).
We are relying on everyone's understanding, cooperation and common sense to help create an experience that is safe and enjoyable for all.
Please read our 2021 Covid-19 Safety Guidelines before registering for the event!

Why We Run
The proceeds from the Pink Pumpkin events will be donated to cancer care service programs at Marshall Medical Centers. The main beneficiary of the Pink Pumpkin proceeds will be the Mammography Assistance Program (MAP) at Marshall Medical Centers North and South. Through the funds provided from MAP, women who cannot afford a yearly mammogram are offered assistance. Often the concern over the loss of income because of the time away from work or the lack of transportation or gas money prevent women from having this potentially life-saving test performed on an annual basis. Through MAP we have the ability to overcome these obstacles for many women. We also run in honor and memory of loved ones who have fought the battle with cancer.
Course Descriptions
5K Course (USATF certified - AL11049JD): The 5K walk/run will begin at Guntersville's Civitan Park, travel northeast along Sunset Drive/LB Wallace Drive and return to the Civitan Park by way of newly renovated downtown Guntersville. The course is mostly flat with a couple of slight inclines and runs adjacent to beautiful Lake Guntersville. Aid stations will be located at the halfway point.
10K Course (USATF CERTIFIED - AL12066JD): The 10K course will start at the Guntersville Rec Center and travel northeast along Sunset Drive/LB Wallace Drive and return to the Civitan Park by way of Gunter and Blount Avenues.
