1. How can I register?
Visit https://raceroster.com/events/2021/51063/unicef-heroes-for-children-2021 and sign up.
2. How much is the registration fee?
Registration starts at PHP 750 for the Individual category. Fees for other categories are:
- Buddy - PHP 1,500
- Move with your Fur Baby - PHP 1,500
- Support a PWD Friend - PHP 1,500
- Group or family (4 members) - PHP 3,000
3. Do I get my shirt and e-bib before the virtual move-a-thon starts?
You’ll receive your e-bib via email after you register. The other entitlements and add-ons you availed will be sent to you 2 - 4 weeks after the virtual move-a-thon.
4. I’m not in the Philippines right now. Can I still join the move-a-thon?
Yes, you can! Registration is open to everyone who wants to be a hero for children, and we will have your entitlements delivered to you.
5. What if I don’t finish my distance goal, do I still get my entitlements?
We encourage all participants to finish their distance goal. Only finishers who have submitted their results will get the Collectible Medal and certificate; however, you will receive your availed add-ons (shirt, cap, and cape) with the eco-bag regardless of finishing.
6. I can’t really go out. Can I use a treadmill or stationary bike?
Yes, you can! Make sure to take a photo of your treadmill dashboard or bike display to track your progress. If your dash or display is broken, you can also use a fitness watch.
7. Our team has more than 4 people. Can we register as a bigger group?
Yes! For groups with 5 or more members, please email info@runrio.com to register.
8. I don’t have a GPS tracking app or smartwatch. Can I still join?
Yes, you can! You can track your progress using most fitness apps on your mobile phone and submit a screenshot manually. Just make sure that your screenshot shows the date, time, and distance covered from October 1-November 30.
9. How and when do I get my entitlements?
Your e-bib will be sent to you along with the confirmation email after you register. You will receive your e-Certificate via email after completing your goal and submitting your results.
Your UNICEF 75th Year Collectible Medal will be delivered to you 2 - 3 weeks after the virtual move-a-thon. For participants outside the Philippines, delivery will take up to 1 month. This also applies to add-ons like the shirt, cap, and cape.
10. What are the available payment options?
You can pay through GCash or credit card when you register.
11. How do I let you know that I’ve finished my distance goal?
Upload your photo or screenshot to Race Roster under the View and submit results tab.
12. Can I do a mix of activities to accomplish my total goal? How do I submit all the results?
Yes, you can! You can also upload a combination of fitness watch, app, and/or dashboard photos, but you will have to upload them to Race Roster one by one.
13. I’m not able to join the virtual move-a-thon. How else can I help Filipino children?
Everyone is welcome to donate to the UNICEF Basket of Hope directly via donate.unicef.ph.
Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated and will help vulnerable children get better access to learning opportunities, health care and nutrition, and routine vaccinations.
