PARTICIPANT PACKET PICK-UP:
All runners receive a Homeboy Industries Event T-shirt, Race Bib, and a Commemorative Dog Tag. Participants are required to pick up race packets during scheduled Packet Pick-Up hours only (unless signed up for the Virtual option). For those who did not register for the Virtual option, packets will NOT be mailed after the event.
IMPORTANT:
All participants are required to show a photo ID or confirmation email with proof of registration to pick up their individual packet.
You may only pick up other people’s packets if you have a photo or copy of their ID.
For those who registered with a TEAM, your team leader is allowed to pick up for your entire team if needed. Please check in at the Solutions table for assistance.
Only parents/guardians can pick up packets for their children under the age of 18.
Lost or Forgotten bibs WILL NOT be replaced if picked up the day before.
NO Virtual Runners will be allowed to pick up their items here as they will be shipped later (details shared below in virtual runner section).
For the safety of all runners, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS made to these rules. Please plan accordingly.
Your bib number will be assigned to you at packet pick up. After checking in, you will receive your timed race bib as well as a t-shirt. All participants should wear their race bib on the front of their shirt while running/walking - this is how we track your time when you cross the finish line.

Free street parking is available on Main St near Homeboy Industries.
RACE DAY PARKING:
Saturday, September 24th ,2022
Race participants will have access to FREE parking located at 129 W. College St. Main St. will remain open and is the main road to access College St. parking. Many of the streets that you may be familiar may be closed due to the race so please allow enough time and plan accordingly.
If you are taking the Metro, the closest stops to Homeboy Industries are:
Gold/L Line – Chinatown stop
Red Line – Union Station
Purple Line – Union Station
VIRTUAL RUNNERS:
If you registered as a Virtual Runner, you can run your 5K anywhere, at your own pace, and on your own time. Your packet will be mailed to the address on your registration 1-2 weeks AFTER race day. Your packet will include: Race Bib, Homeboy Industries Event T-Shirt and Commemorative Dog Tag.
GEAR CHECK:
Gear Check will NOT be provided for this run. We ask that you leave any personal items and articles of warm up clothing in your vehicle. We suggest keeping identification on you at all times for safety purposes. There will be an assortment of sponsors and vendors at the finish line - please plan to bring a form of payment if you plan to shop at the expo/festival. Homeboy Industries is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. Please plan accordingly.
EXPO/FESTIVAL:
Our Expo will take place on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 (RACE DAY) in front of Homeboy Industries from 7:00AM-11:00AM.
We will have vendors providing food samples, selling items and so much more! Homeboy merchandise will also be available for purchase (Cashless payments only. No Apple Pay available). Please be sure you visit each booth!
SPECTATORS:
Spectators are welcome and will be allowed to watch runners along the race route.
WATER STATION:
There will be one water station on the 5K course route. Runners are encouraged to run with their own water if you need additional hydration on course.
AWARDS & RESULTS:
Age group awards will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place male & female finishers in each age group. Please note, awards will not be mailed if not picked up on race day.
Age groups are as follows: 1-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75-84, 85+
