June 24-26, 2022
The 29th edition of the Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival returns June 24-26, 2022! Participants will have the opportunity to compete at all skill levels, from rookies to world champions, as they get back to the waters of Mooney's Bay for a weekend of racing and fun with teammates!
The multi-day festival offers spectators free admission for marquee concerts, a variety of artisans, exhibitors, delicious culinary treats, beach-side bar, children’s area and non-stop racing in community, corporate and sport divisions.
Teams will compete in two 500m races in various Challenge Cup divisions on Saturday, June 25. Top teams will advance to Sunday, June 26 for a 100m, 200m and 500m Grand Final.
Individual registration is also available for anyone new to the sport or new to the area and looking to join a team.
The festival is looking forward to its return to in-person competition and welcoming new and returning teams to the Nation’s Capital!

The festival will follow all required public health and government guidelines related to COVID-19.
In the event of cancellation or postponement of this event due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, including but not limited to, safety, weather, government mandated public health restrictions, or similar concerns, registration fees will be fully refunded or carried forward for future Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival races.
