- What's the refund plan?
- If the race doesn't happen due to COVID we will offer you three options:
- a full refund (less processing fees)
- defer your entry fee to the next race
- transfer to virtual and partial refund
- If you need to cancel, we will offer a full refund (less processing fees) anytime before July 31, 2022 at Midnight. If you need to make a last minute cancellation, we will happily defer you to virtual or our 2023 live race.
- If the race doesn't happen due to COVID we will offer you three options:
- How will the race proceed safely? We are working on numerous logistical strategies that will allow us to host a great race while keeping everyone safe. As we approach race-day, communication will increase on how we plan to manage vehicles, racers, spectators, etc.
- Will there be washrooms? There will be washrooms on site at the start/finish line, also at the turnaround for the Marathon races.
- Will there be water stations? There will be water stations every 2.5 km offering water and gatorade
- When/where is race-kit pick-up? Race kits will be available FRI SEP 30, 4-10pm in the Yule Lodge and Santa's Village. They will also be available SAT OCT 1, 6am-3pm in our Registration Tent in the Santa's Village parking lot.
- Where is the starting line? Our start and finish are both at Santa's Village, Bracebridge: 1624 Golden Beach Rd. With the road closure, access to Santa's Village needs to be via HWY 118 to Golden Beach Rd.
- Is there parking on-site? There is quite a lot of parking on-site. 5km and 10km racers may park on-site any time after 12:30pm. HALF and FULL racers need to a VIP pass, volunteer, or Santa's Village pass with them to park on-site.
- How else can I get to the start/finish line? You can get dropped off, or you can take our free shuttles from 331 Fraserburg Rd (JD Lang Activity Park). Those shuttles will run 6am to 1:30pm
- Where can spectators view the race? The best spots to watch the 5k/10k races is at the start/finish line. For the longer races, the start/finish is a great spot to watch (you must take a shuttle), or you can find a spot along the course route: Annie Williams Park, 50 Santa's Village Rd or James W Kerr Park, 130 Beaumont Dr are both parks along the race route with parking, washrooms, and other activities. You'd need to get there before the road closed (6:30am ish), and you'd be stuck there until the road reopens (Noon-ish).
