We look forward to a great crowd as we offer this unique event, our first in the Vancouver area.
Sasamat Ice Cracker Open Water Swim
This race is part of the Sasamat Ice Cracker Classic and includes both the Sasamat Ice Cracker Open Water Swim and SwimRun Challenge.
The race consists of 1 or 2 laps in Sasamat Lake, with each loop being 1.5 K of swimming. For those who are truly up for a challenge, we are happy to include the Sasamat Ice Cracker Classic Daily Double which gives you the option of participating in both an open water swim and SwimRun on the same day.

Location: Belcarra Regional Park - Port Moody
Check-in: 8.00 - 8.45 AM
Racing starts at9:00 AM
Facilities & Food:
- Washrooms will be available
- Food will be provided
Race Details:
- Swim caps will be provided for each swimmer and MUST BE WORN for identification purposes during the race
- A number will be inked on upper back/shoulder of each participant
- Water temperature at this time of year ranges between 50 - 60 degrees Fahrenheit,making wetsuits optional but recommended.
- There will not be a "rain date" and a delay (or cancellation) would only occur in the event of lightning
