Hello, My name is Corey Sherman and I am a second year law student.  One activity I love doing in my free time is running.  It helps me relieve stress and reset from a long day of school work.  Another thing I love is eating fresh seafood.  That is why I am running this race for such a great cause.  Without fishermen on the Cape, we would be nothing and this is our chance to give back to those who have given so much to us.

Description

The Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance engages the local fishing community in building lasting solutions to protect the ocean ecosystem and the future of Cape Cod's small-boat fishing fleet.

Founded in 1991 by the local fishing fleet, the Fishermen's Alliance is a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization and the leading voice for commercial fishermen on Cape Cod. 

Fishermen's Alliance stands for:

  • A Healthy Ocean Environment: We advocate for healthy oceans to ensure sustainable and successful fishing businesses.
  • Fishermen Driving Science: Fishermen partner with scientists to conduct research to inform sensible and forward-looking fishing regulations.
