Raise money for Credit Valley Conservation Foundation
Credit Valley Conservation Foundation (CVC Foundation) is the charitable arm of Credit Valley Conservation.
Established in 1964, the CVC Foundation exists to inspire people and organizations to donate to support CVC’s vision of a thriving environment that protects, connects and sustains us.
The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation needs YOUR HELP to raise funds for CVC’s first major Indigenous infrastructure installation! Become a part of the Credit Valley Trail legacy!
CVC will construct a new community asset ‘The Crane Gathering Space’ (CGS) an Indigenous cultural feature at Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville, Ontario. Located along the Credit Valley Trail (CVT) route, a 100km continuous pathway along the Credit River from Orangeville to Port Credit. The CGS will create a space for Indigenous people to connect with the land, express their culture and language, and it will deepen connections to traditional knowledge and ancestry in the Credit River Valley. There are multifaceted public benefits to creating the CGS, including nurturing connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, producing unique recreational experiences, and serving as a publicly accessible site available for innovative educational opportunities.
The CVC Foundation’s goal is to raise $250k towards this once-in-a-lifetime project – we need your help to make this a reality!
