Charlotte Open Water Championship

Parking

All swimmers and spectators should park at the Start/Finish line at Mt. Holly Boat Landing, 724 Elm Ave, Mt. Holly, NC.

Check-in

All swimmers should check in no later than 15 minutes before the swim starts.

2 Mile swim starts at 8:00 AM

800 Yard swim starts at 8:15 AM

Timing and Body Marking

All 2 Mile swimmers must have their number marked on their body before the race. Volunteers will assist you at check-in. Numbers should be marked on both arms and both calves. If you are wearing a wetsuit that covers your arms and calves, you can mark on your hands and swim cap.

Wetsuits

Because of unusually low temperatures, wetsuits will be allowed for all participants with no penalty.

Water Temp:

Water temperature is around 73 on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, and predicted to be the same on race day.

Changing Tent

Thanks to our sponsor, Go Ahead Events, there will be a changing tent on site, so bring some warm clothes and stick around after the race!

Awards will be given to top 3 overall M & F swimmers.
