My Story…
Ukraine needs you!
We’ve all been watching in horror the devastation of a country and people whose only crime was wanting to be free. I can’t imagine what Ukrainians are going through, especially the children and their parents.
Fortunately, you can help.
On May 29th, I’ll be participating in a 5k race to raise funds to support Ukraine, through the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. Money raised through this event will enable the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to respond to humanitarian needs in Ukraine. The support could include preparedness, immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and other critical humanitarian activities as needs arise, both in Ukraine and surrounding countries, including supporting populations displaced.
Your donation will help provide humanitarian assistance and alleviate suffering in Ukraine. You will receive a tax receipt via email.
As for the race itself, I promise to go flat out and give it everything I have. I’m aiming to beat my 5k personal best of 20:30, set 4 years ago before I was a dad and got some sleep. The race is at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Burlington.
Most importantly, I hope you can help me support this worthy cause and would be extremely appreciative of any contribution you are able to make.
Please join me in standing with Ukraine.
Thank you!
