My Story…
You can be vibrant, healthy, and living your best life, and then out of the blue you’re diagnosed with a particularly insidious cancer in its late stage. That’s what happened to my little sister Sarah one year ago.
But she’s handled the fear and pain and endless appointments and two major surgeries and two brutal rounds of chemo with dignity, courage, generosity of spirit, and, of course, her trademark humor. Even more, she’s found purpose: saving others from such suffering with the help of COCA, an organization that spreads crucial awareness and supports women with ovarian cancer.
Sarah’s Team F* Cancer kicked ass at last year’s COCA fundraiser and we expect to do so again this year. This fundraiser is both deeply personal and wholly communal. Please can I count on my friends again? Any amount donated sends us over the moon with joy and gratitude. Thank you!
