3rd Annual Minnesota 5K SCADaddle for Research

Our Cause
Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little known and poorly understood type of heart attack. Most patients are younger healthy women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too. SCAD can recur and can be fatal. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options.
SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms.
SCADaddle 5k
Our 5K trail fun Run/Walk takes place at Battle Creek Regional Park on winding trails through natural areas that offer a spectacular look at Ramsey County's diverse landscape.
Join us for a community feel with kid's activities and a playground all while shopping the SCAD store. We will also have a quick warm up, announce our quilt raffle winner and have a briefing on SCAD!
Race Bibs will be given and the first 400 runners & walkers will be awarded a medal.
Register by April 29th to guarantee this year's t-shirt.

VENDOR Information Businesses play a key role in helping raise money for research to uncover the cause(s) and best treatment options for SCAD. Money raised through SCAD Research, Inc. will help fund the most promising research. With your vendor donation of $100 you will receive the following:
- Table at the SCADaddle 5k with over 300 participants held at Battle Creek Regional Park.
- Thank you in event program at the Reunion
- Opportunity to put a promotional item in Race Goodie bag

Join other SCAD Survivors, their supporters, and Angel Families for a night to meet, eat and learn! An adult dinner and kids' meal will be included in the Reunion final cost! Adults $40, Kids $20. Vendors including SCAD Store items will be there to shop while enjoying our CASH only bar! SCAD updates will also be shared by Doctors Hayes and Best from Mayo along with time to introduce yourself and share your story!
We have a larger area this year so feel free to invite those who have supported you along the way! Let’s make this a night of reunion and celebration!
5:00 pm - Reunion start time! The event will begin with early 5K packet pickup and our meet & greet. A cash only bar will be available throughout the evening. Shopping our vendors including the SCAD store is also available!
6:30 pm - Dinner will be served - welcoming remarks, introductions and an update from Mayo's very own Dr. Hayes and Dr. Patricia Best!
Dinner Reservations due by May 1.
Covid Protocol
In order to enhance the safety of everyone, the SCAD Research Inc., Board of Directors is requesting that all participants to the SCAD Social Reunion events be fully vaccinated (required) OR completed COVID-19 testing and received a negative test result on Friday May 13th OR if a positive test result was received in the past 90 days, it has been at least 20 days since the infection. Attendees must attest that they will comply with all safety requirements and that they understand the inherent risk associated with being in large groups of people. Masking is required.
Hotel Accommodations
Hotel Rooms are available at a discounted rate at the Holiday Inn & Suites with code SCAD. Please book early as we only have a small block available. Room block closes May 2nd.
Room rates are as follows:

Please note, registration can be taken on race day. We cannot guarantee a race shirt for race day registration.
