Raise money for Lost Boys Hope

Where do your donations go?

At Lost Boys Hope we rely on the generosity of your donations to help rescue dogs in need. These donations don’t only cover basic costs like food, leashes, collars and toys, but also go towards expenses such as transportation to bring them to us, and medical care to make sure each pup gets the proper care that they need. Minimum vet costs alone are $300 with the rescue discounted price that we receive.

You can donate by dropping off food to one of our two drop-off locations, or by making a monetary donation; every penny counts!

Our mission is to help, reduce and rehome.
We strive to reduce the over-population and help to find homes for stray and unwanted dogs. Many of our dogs are from Northern Canadian Reserves where veterinary care and resources are limited causing an extreme stray overpopulation, it can be an extremely dangerous situation within these communities.
Lost Boys Hope Dog Rescue (LBH) provides quality care and offers sanctuary until loving homes can be found. We are guided by practices under the Canadian Rescue Standards and Best Practices and their list of “Five Freedoms”.
1. Freedom from Hunger and Thirst by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigor.
2. Freedom from Discomfort by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area
3. Freedom from Pain, Injury or Disease by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment
4. Freedom to Express Normal Behavior by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal’s own kind
5. Freedom from Fear and Distress by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering
LBH’s hope is to bring people together in support of this goal and to give them the knowledge, the tools and the help they need. Our hope is to use education and cooperation as a means to unite various groups and their members with a common love of animals and directing our shared enthusiasm to the cause of protecting them.

The key to that success remains the diversity of our group and the individuals who with LBH safeguard these animals. We work with other like-minded individuals, groups and volunteers to build and empower each other for the safety of all animals. Together we will accomplish real change.
Lost Boys Hope believes strongly in spay/neutering, vaccinating and disease control. We have implemented with help from our Veterinarians, a spay/neuter and parasite program that ensures that our dogs are healthy and sterilized at age of maturity. We want all our dogs to live happy and healthy into their senior years.

Although we are one of the largest foster-based rescues in Ontario, our admin team is small. We continue to follow our grassroots in everything we do! You will see our founder in the trenches with her team!!

Our mission is, always has been help, reduce and rehome through education, advocacy, and services.
