Mildred’s 100th Birthday Walk-A-Thon!

Kick off the summer and walk with us as we celebrate what would have been Mildred’s 100th Birthday at our annual Walk-A-Thon! The Walk-A-Thon begins Friday, June 3rd and will conclude Sunday, June 12th, where we will come together for a celebration of Mildred’s life at the Needham Golf Club! There, we will continue the 10-day celebration with all participants walking the final half mile on the course together. Then come hang with us by the fire pit on the lawn and take in the beautiful evening views as you enjoy Mildred’s favorite foods, drinks, live music, and more!

More Details on Walk-A-Thon
- The Walk-A-Thon is a peer-to-peer fundraising initiative where teams and corporate/family sponsor groups of any number, come together and walk during the 10-day celebration to fundraise a minimum of $125 per member on behalf of Mildred's Dream Foundation.
- Teams with a minimum of (4) members that raise an average of $125 per member are eligible to receive one of two raffle prizes; corporate/family matching team members who raise the most money are also eligible to be part of a separate drawing.
*All proceeds from the Walk-A-Thon will go directly towards our future grant programs.

Details on How to Participate in the Walk-A-Thon
You may register as an Individual or Recruit a Team and name a Team Captain.
1. First click "Register" or if you need assistance, contact eroach@fmpproductions.com to be sent Registration step-by-step instructions.
2. Complete Registration.
3. Each participant then customizes their personal Race Roster fundraising page and sets their fundraising goal (a default of $125 per participant is automatically entered if left unchanged).
4. Begin fundraising by sharing your personal referral link (included in registration confirmation email) on social media, emails, etc.
5. Recruit others to join your team and spread the word about registering for the Walk-A-Thon & Post Walk-A-Thon Celebration Party!
6. (Optional) Every participant who wishes to track their mileage is recommended to use the free "Runkeeper" app.
7. (Optional) If you know any non-profits who line up with MDF’s mission, connect them with Alisa Stepanian so that they maybe eligible to be awarded an MDF grant.
Fundraising Contests
“Team Celebration Dinner” - Raffle
Each team with a minimum of (4) team members that averages a cumulative (2) miles/day and raises an average of $125 per team member, will be entered to win a fine dining experience at a high-end restaurant of your choosing and bring (1) guest per team member.
Availability will be based on the restaurant chosen.
“Mildred’s Dream Vacation” - Raffle
Each team with a minimum of (4) team members that averages a cumulative (2) miles/day and raises an average of $250 per team member, will be entered to win roundtrip airfare anywhere in the continental U.S with a (3) night stay at a Marriott property for (4) team members selected by their Team Captain.
Flights and Hotel pending availability and arrangements must be mutually agreed upon. Holiday and school vacation weeks not included.
Raffles will be drawn on Sunday, June 12th at Mildred’s 100th Birthday Celebration event at the Needham Golf Club. Teams do not need to be present to claim prizes.
