Our story…

I have and always will be a daddy’s girl, but unfortunately, that will have to be without my dad. As many of you know, last year, my life was completely shattered. My dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on December 31st and just 73 days later, he was no longer here. My relationship with my dad was like no other and the bond that we had will last forever. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. Although different emotions come and go, I always say that I am the luckiest person to have had him not only as a dad, but my best friend. He was loving, kind, intelligent, charismatic, funny as could be, supportive, caring and always had a smile on his face, no matter what. He was a renowned ophthalmologist, an avid tennis player, a member of MENSA (yes, he was a genius), the biggest Yankee and James Bond fan, and most importantly a loving father, brother and friend to all.

Since November is Pancreatic Cancer Month, in memory of my dad, Richard Norden, I have decided to join the fight to help raise funds to find a cure for this disease. Pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all cancers. The average lifetime risk of pancreatic cancer is about 1 in 64. It is estimated that in 2022 approximately 62,210 people in the United States will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and about 49,830 will die. To help pay tribute and keep my dad’s memory alive, I have decided to try and raise funds to help find a cure for this dreadful disease. Please consider helping me by donating here.
