Our story…
In October 2022 we lost our best friend, our mom, to Pancreatic Cancer. By the time we found it, like many others, it was Stage IV and there was nothing we could do. Her battle was short, but we’ve never seen a person so strong or courageous. We carry her strength and courage with us today, amongst the many other amazing qualities our mom possessed that we are inspired to earn ourselves.
Our mom didn’t have a chance to fight, but we do. We can fight to spread awareness, to drive action, and create a world in which Pancreatic Cancer doesn’t exist. We can fight so that some day, no one will have to endure the pain the she had or the heartache that we feel. The best way we know how is through running, a sport we have come to love over the years, and a sport my mom loved to photograph.
November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month. Please consider joining us in running or walking on Thanksgiving on top of your local turkey trot and/or donating to Team Kim’s Heart and Sole to help create a world without Pancreatic Cancer.
