REALTOR® Run 2022

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! REGISTER AS A SOLO PARTICIPANT OR TEAM!

Hosted by the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS®, the 2022 REALTOR® Run aims to feature the best of the Waterloo Region and surrounding areas while raising funds and awareness for these 3 local shelter-based charities: House of Friendship, YW Kitchener- Waterloo, and oneROOF Youth Services.

Founded in 2020 as a way to continue to give back to our communities during the pandemic, this year the #KWRealtorRun will take place during the week of June 13 - 17, 2022. We are inviting you to walk or run 5 kilometers in your favourite area throughout the week OR to join us for a group 5K on Thursday, June 16th along the Walter Bean Trail at KWAR (limited space available). You can choose to register as a solo participant, or as part of a team. You also get to decide which organization your donations will go towards.

New for this year, we are asking every participant to pledge to raise a minimum of $200 in donations! We highly encourage you to use #KWRealtorRun on social media in advance of the event to promote your Race Roster webpage and encourage pledges. Tell your audience why you are participating, what you love about the neighbourhood you have chosen for your route, and compete against your fellow participants for the chance to win exciting prizes!

On your chosen race day, be sure to take a photo or two along your route to share with us as well. If you would like to support the event but are unable to participate in the 5K, you are invited to make a donation to one of the participants/teams or to one of the organizations directly.

Whether you are a serious runner, or simply want to spend more time outdoors, we hope you can join us as we explore what makes our community such a great place to live! The 5K course can be run competitively, or you can complete a little bit each day. No matter which element you take part in, everyone will receive a chance to win one of our prizes.

Register as a solo racer:
Register as a solo racer and create your very own participant account. Each participant will receive a REALTOR® Run shirt. Using your Race Roster account, you can share your fundraising goal and collect pledges. Track your route by downloading the Runkeeper app directly to your phone; with its integrated GPS system, the application can track your route and your running time you can add directly to your race account.

Build a team/join a team:
Join an existing team or create your own team and work together to raise funds. Maybe you and your team want to schedule a running time with each other. All registered participants will receive a REALTOR® Run branded t-shirt. REALTOR® Run registration page will include a team leader board. May the competition begin!

Make a donation:
Support the racers with a donation or donate directly to one of our partner charities. Tax receipts will be issued upon request.

Share the event:
Invite your peers to take part in the community awareness campaign using #KWRealtorRun.
