MOVE FOR MEDCINE
A virtual journey around Haiti.

Join us for the 2nd annual 'Move' event. This year we will be raising money for medicine to ensure the Bethesda pharmacy is kept well stocked and Bethesda can continue to provide high quality medical care in Northern Haiti.
Set your own goal and walk, run, cycle or move however you like to move. Collectively we will move the 1323 miles around the perimeter of Haiti visiting various sites along the way and learning more about culture and life in Haiti.
There are two options.
Register as an individual - Set up your own fundraising page, share your goal, ask your family and friends to sponsor you and get moving!
Register as part of a team - The team leader will set up your team fundraising page, set a team goal, share your fundraising page and move together!
For $20 registration fee, $10 if you register before May 15th you get access to the Move for Medicine community on facebook where you can follow the journey around Haiti learning more about culture and life in Haiti. You will also get weekly email updates. Team leaders will receive a team leader pack which tells you everything you need to know about Move for Medicine. Teams also have the opportunity to hear first hand about what's going on at Bethesda by having a board member join your team or small group by zoom.

Taking part in Move for Medicine
1. Set your own goal
The total distance around Haiti is 1323 miles. You decide how far you or your team are going to move.
2. Decide how your going to move
You can run, walk, cycle, scooter, swim or a combination of all of those thing! Once you have decided how your going to move and how far add that to your fundraising page.
3. Fundraising
Once you have registered you can set up your own personal fundraising page. To do this go to your dashboard and edit your page. Then you can share the link by email or on social media to get sponsors. Alternatively if you have sponsors who are unable to donate online you can download one of our sponsor forms from the Bethesda website.
4. Track your miles
You can use your smart watch or an app such as Strave or ASICS RunkeeperTM on your smart phone to track how far your going. Every time you have clocked up some miles you can log into Race Roster and click on the 'post virtual activity' button to record your miles.
5. Using ASICS RunkeeperTM app
Download the runkeeper app to your phone. From Runkeeper log in to raceroster by clicking on expore on the app. This will take you to Raceroster to login. Click on the connect my app button and when you use the Runkeeper app to track your activity it will automatically upload to Raceroster.
6. Join the Move for Medicine community
Once registered you can join the facebook group and you will also receive weekly updates. Post photos of you moving and tag @haitibmc and use the #moveformedicine.
