Women of color often feel like they are “the only” in the room. We want to change that.
The Take the Lead retreat will provide women and femme of color who work in the running industry with career development programming, community building, and mentorship opportunities that center their experience and identity.
Please note that hotel and air travel are not included in the registration fee. All meals from Sunday dinner to Tuesday lunch are included in the registration fee. We are grateful for your support!

If you are a retailer, small business owner, or "other", select this option for your registration. "Other" means you provide a service, create a product or a solution in the run industry including founders of community running groups, or sponsored athletes.

Our mission is to create a brave space that centers the experience of women and femme of color to come together to feel supported, validated, and empowered to take action in leading the change they want to see in the running industry. We create a space where women leave feeling empowered to take action through career development, community-building programming, and mentorship and sponsorship opportunities.
PROGRAMMING
Career Development Programming - What are the career opportunities & paths in the running industry?
Community Building - How to start a sustainable business, how to build a community.
Mentorship + Sponsorship Opportunities - Everyone leaves with a mentor - a two-way street of partnership, learning, and accountability. A sponsor is someone who actively includes you in their professional network.
