My Story…
Hey I am running to support Special People United to Ride. It is a great organization. They provide Hippotherapy (I know what you are thinking how do they train the hippos?) which is physical therapy using horses. It is more than physical therapy, the riders get a sense of pride and accomplishment that carries over into all aspects of their lives. My son Conor has ridden at SPUR for over 10 years and loves it. The Fundraising goes to support scholarships for riders and families. 35% of the riders receive some form of scholarship support.
As an added incentive if I hit my fundraising goal I will run the two miles in a horse costume and possibly publish a video to prove it! Appreciate the support!
