About our Beneficiary: Sierra County Cancer Assistance
The mission of Sierra County Cancer Assistance SCCA is to provide, at no cost to the cancer survivor, transportation to and from doctor appointments and treatments. All their drivers are volunteers from our community. They are a 50l (c) 3 non-profit organization SCAA has been providing free transportation for Sierra County residents for the past 10 years. They have driven over 800,000 miles and made approximately 5,500 round trips to either Las Cruces or Albuquerque. Proceeds from the 2nd Sierra County Annual Run/Walk, along with private donations, will be given to continue serving cancer patients for years to come. Many of their patients are indeed Breast Cancer Survivors. With the support of the community, this would not be possible.

If you do not wear the bib as requested, your finish may not be read properly, and no time will be recorded in the results.

For the safety of our runners, and in case of a medical emergency, it is imperative that the registration data associated with the race number belongs to the person wearing the bib. If race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in one of our events with a bib that is not registered to that runner, both the runner and the person to whom the bib is registered will be prohibited from participating in subsequent SVHC events for a minimum of two years.
