McMaster Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

With nearly 270,000 patient visits each year, McMaster Children’s Hospital is one of Canada’s leading pediatric health care facilities. As the second largest provider of inpatient pediatric services in Ontario, the Hospital is home to Canada’s largest neonatal intensive care unit.

For many premature babies and critically ill newborns, McMaster Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the first home they will ever know. These vulnerable infants, some small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, often need breathing support and specialized care for a whole host of complications. They may spend weeks or months in hospital, their families anxiously by their side. Your meaningful gift will help support our region’s tiniest and most vulnerable children and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

Tax receipts will issued for donations of $20 or more. Receipts will be distributed by the charity after the race takes place.
