Childhood cancer or a serious illness changes a child’s life. 

Simple joys, such as birthday parties, friendships and sports are replaced by medical appointments, hospital stays, and long absences from school. A family’s emotional and financial resources are exhausted.

Now, more than ever, kids need hope, friendships, community and the means to build resilience. The pandemic impacted services and activities for countless children and youth affecting the development, well-being and mental health of an entire generation. Campfire Circle fills those gaps, meeting children where they’re at: whether that’s our in-hospital Program Specialists at the bedside when kids are sickest, through programs in their communities, at overnight camp with their family, or for their first independent camp experience. We are an integral part of the healing journey.
