My Story…
Hello Friends and Family,
In recent years there has been a dramatic rise in Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) across the country with many experts declaring IPV an epidemic. AWHL (Assaulted Women s Help Line) counsellors are at the front lines of this increase, answering more than 90,000 calls annually. AWHL counsellors are available 24/7 to provide listen, support, identify options and connect callers to critical resources in their local communities.
I have referred many clients to the AWHL and know how important this resource is. You can call, text and learn about resources from their website and their counsellors (as well as learning how to hide your tracks). 82% of the women who call have children.
I have run this race many times and am getting close to placing in my age group! Will this be my year???
