Raise money for AMD Foundation
Imagine tomorrow that you will no longer be able to recognize faces, drive or even read. This is what happens to more than 350,000 people in Quebec and 1 million in Canada, mostly seniors and women who suffer from age-related macular degeneration (AMD). From the age of 75, one person in three will be affected at various stages. This incurable eye disease is the leading cause of functional blindness.
The AMD Foundation is doing its part with public presentations and in seniors' residences to reach out and raise awareness of this terrible disease that is not widely known. The AMD Foundation also offers free sunglasses to all those who suffer from eye disease.
