Color Me Blue 5K!

DanceBlue is a registered student organization at the University of Kentucky that works tirelessly all year, every year, to raise money for the kiddos! The money raised through DanceBlue fundraising efforts is donated to the Golden Matrix Fund, established to support the kids of the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic both today and well into the future through an endowment. DanceBlue funds also support the year-long fundraising engine and operations that underpin the mission, as well as providing funds to support research at the UK Markey Cancer Center.

Fundraising efforts are taken on by both the student organization itself, in the form of mini marathons, restaurant nights and events like this 5K run/walk, as well as the UK students who are hopeful participants in our grand finale event each year – the DanceBlue Marathon. The DanceBlue Marathon is a 24 hour, no sitting, no sleeping, dance marathon in which students can participate by raising money on their own For The Kids.

This event, the 2023 DanceBlue DB5K, will kick off UK Homecoming week and will be hosted on campus, with an optional Virtual DanceBlue DB5K for those that can't join us in person. For students planning on participating in the marathon: 5K registration is worth 20 SPIRIT POINTS!

Each registered participant will be guaranteed t-shirt and packet of color if registered by 9/24!

REGISTRATION CLOSES NOON, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6TH.

Packet Pick-Up Info:

Students: Tuesday, October 3rd and Wednesday, October 4th at 5-7pm; Thursday, October 5th and Friday, October 6th at 4-6pm in DanceBlue Office (located in Gatton Student Center).

STUDENTS MUST PICK UP PACKETS BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6TH AT 6 P.M.

Community: Saturday, October 7th, 10am-6pm at John's Run Walk Shop (Address: 317 S Ashland Ave, Lexington, KY 40502)

You will not be able to pick up your packets at the 5K. If none of these dates/times work for you, please email operations@danceblue.org to schedule a pick-up time outside of these.
