Fireco Kai Iwi Lakes Triathlon
The Fireco Kai Iwi Lakes Triathlon on Saturday, 29 April 2023 features 3 different courses for the adult’s event and includes options for teams. This event also accommodates our tamariki with a kids course for ages 4 – 15 .
The start, finish and transition areas are all based at the stunning Pine Beach, also know as Kai Iwi Lakes. There is camping available so you can really make a weekend of it.
The course starts with the swim taking place at the main lake where the translucent water is not only an inviting beginning but a refreshing start to the event. Both the cycle and run courses include some significant hills, with the run being majority off road. With each transition occurring at one base the event makes for a fun atmosphere where spectators feel involved the whole way through.
