Raise money for empowerHER

empowerHER® is a nonprofit on a mission to empower, support, and connect children and young adults (up through age 24) who have experienced the loss of a parent. empowerHER provide events that remind them they are not alone in their grief, and a unique one-on- one mentor program with positive role models from the community who help teach them that loss is survivable.

Cara was nine years old when her mother Kit died of breast cancer and formed empowerHER as a grassroots movement out of the gratitude she had for all the layers of support her family received growing up. 

empowerHER operates with a lean staff and thousands of volunteers from across the globe and all programs remain at no charge to the family.  For more information, or to become a Mentor or enroll a child, please visit www.empoweringher.org.

empowerHER® was formed in 2013 with a very specific mission—to empower, support and connect girls and young women up to age 24 who have experienced the loss of their mothers. empowerHER® is a supportive and inclusive community that offers year-round EVENTS for GIRLS that provides peer support and reminds girls they are not alone in their grief. Our MENTOR PROGRAM matches girls and young women with positive role models from the community to show “loss is survivable.”
