Support CCALS!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2023 Falmouth Road Race to support Compassionate Care ALS! I am running and fundraising in thanks to CCALS, which provided invaluable support and equipment to David Kaynor, beloved friend of many. CCALS lent an eye gaze computer to David when ALS made it impossible for him to communicate via speaking or typing, and he persisted to learn to use it not only for everyday needs but also for composing, notating, and sharing fiddle tunes (the ability to do these things an everyday need in of itself). He also used the eye gaze computer to recommend running routes to me and his other caregivers. His coaching influence is still here and helps make it possible for me to be able to train for this race! I am excited to run this race’s seven miles in support of such an important organization. Funds raised from Falmouth Road Race allow Compassionate Care ALS to provide direct services and durable goods to ALS patients, their families, and their caregivers. Your donation is much appreciated and will assist CCALS in making a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS!
Description
CCALS offers an innovative and holistic range of services tailored to meet the needs of individuals with ALS and their families. The services we offer are typically not covered by insurance. CCALS works with families in New England, across the United States, and internationally. The organization provides resources including equipment, educational workshops, Medicaid assistance, guidance and awareness in living with ALS, caregiving, and end-of-life issues. All funds raised through the Falmouth Road Race go directly to assisting families with ALS.
