Our story…

Since 2001, Jett Foundation, headquartered in Plymouth, Mass., has empowered people and families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy through the development of transformative programming, educational opportunities, and ongoing support for every stage of a Duchenne journey.

This year, Jett Foundation will host over 200 campers through summer and year-round programming, deliver over $800,000 in financial assistance for accessible vehicles and emergency support, host hundreds of families at our educational workshops throughout the country and online, support hundreds of families through parent support groups, and cheer on hundreds of Team Jett athletes at events across the nation.

Join our mission today as a Team Jett athlete or supporter to be a part of Jett Foundation’s mission and make a difference in the lives of children, adults, and families impacted by Duchenne.

Description

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is the most common fatal pediatric disorder. Duchenne is a progressive neuromuscular disorder that causes a loss of motor, pulmonary, and cardiac function, and ultimately, premature death. It affects approximately 1 in every 5,000 male births. There are approximately 15,000 individuals diagnosed with Duchenne alive today in the United States.

Our Mission: Jett Foundation empowers people and families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy through the development of transformative programming, educational opportunities, and ongoing support for every stage of a Duchenne journey.

Team Jett events, such as the Falmouth Road Race, encourage families and friends to activate their muscles in support of Jett Foundation and the work we do to provide enriching programs  and resources for individuals and families impacted by Duchenne. For the fourth time, our dedicated Falmouth runners will move their muscles for those who cannot.

Just some of our programs and resources for families include:

Camp Promise: a free week of summer camp at five locations across the country for kids and young adults with select neuromuscular disorders like DMD, SMA, Becker, and more.

Jett Giving Fund: a vital assistance program with two branches: The Accessible Vehicle Fund helps families obtain safe, accessible transportation; The Emergency Fund provides grants to families facing unexpected, emergency situations.

Family Workshops: a national educational workshop series for families to learn about Duchenne care, resources, and treatments from local clinicians, experts, and industry partners.

National Community Ambassador program: an opportunity for parents, friends, and family members of individuals impacted by Duchenne to share resources and educate within their community. Ambassadors also facilitate local support groups and events for parents and families.

Thank you for supporting Jett Foundation's dedicated athletes at the Falmouth Road Race!
