We are truly very sorry for the conditions you had to contend with at this year's race. We have never had to deal with such weather in what has always been a fall race and were clearly wrong in our projections about how much water we needed on the course. We had 17 years, and specifically last year as a guide and had far more water (almost double) available on the course than was consumed last year. We chose bottled water again this year - as a post covid protocol and because of the difficulty of finding volunteers to man water stations.

We are so very thankful you were able to finish the race. Your resolve to continue under such appalling conditions (in terms of hydration on the course) was incredible.

As for us, we can only wish the volunteers who take over from us next year do a far better job than we did.

Please accept our sincerest apologies. We hope that sometime, you return to run this beautiful course under new direction in the years to follow.

RACE WEEKEND

Race Kit Pick Up is Saturday September 30th from 10 AM - 6 PM
LOCATION: Prince Edward County Community Centre in Picton. You may have someone pick up your race kit for you, however it is then their responsibility to ensure you receive your tagged bib and race kit. Should you choose this option we are not responsible for you getting to the start line on time.

The County Marathon finishes at our original line (unless road closures dictate an alternate site) in front of the Prince Edward County Fairgrounds located in Picton. Please see the maps on our website for details as we approach the event.

START LINES:

ALL buses on race day will depart from Picton at the Community Centre Parking lot as they have in previous years.

The Full Marathon and Ultra 50 KM start line is located in Wellington at the Lehigh Centre, a warm facility complete with washrooms, an indoor running track, fresh coffee, and water, as well as bag drop off.

The Half Marathon start line is located in West Lake at the West Lake Community Church (corner of County Road 10 and 18), complete with washrooms, a tent, and fresh coffee, bananas, water, and fresh homemade muffins provided by the congregation - donations to them are welcomed!. We also have a bag drop off where you will then find your items at the finish line.

FREE Shuttle service to your start line is provided for every participant and will depart from The Prince Edward County Community Centre parking lot area race morning..
