Course Details and Information
Course Map: https://www.mappedometer.com/?maproute=946530
This race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario
Course features:
The 5 KM route will be one loop including an out-and-back section. The 10 KM event does two loops of the 5 KM route.
The entire course route will be run through the grounds of Kiwanis Park, consisting mostly of dirt trails.
Each KM is marked and is clearly visible. Water Stations: 1 on the 5 KM course / 3 on the 10 KM course. Courses are certified distances. Courses are subject to change pending official approval, course certifications, or construction issues.
Runners must stay to the right on all trail sections.
Volunteers and participants can park on the grounds of Kiwanis Park.
Animals are permitted in the park, but not in the run/walk.
Time Limit:
The time limit to complete the course is calculated at 10 minutes per kilometer. Starting at the half way mark, if a participant does not reach a km mark by this calculated time, the participant may be required to continue unassisted by race support. Participants are asked to familiarize themselves with the course route if this situation might be a possibility to them. We wish to minimize the disruption caused by our event to the general public using Kiwanis Park. We hope you understand our position.
