Kids' Fun Run - Race Start for Kids' Fun Run 7:55am
The Kids' Fun Run is an out and back course on Miramontes Ave to Potter Ave. Volunteers will aid in the turn around of our young athletes at Potter and turn them back to Hatch Elementary where they will finish under the finish line arch! Total mileage for this course is a half mile.
5K Map (Bibs are Orange and race start for 5k is at 8:15am)
There is one aid station on this course at Poplar Street where participants turn right onto the Coastal Trail.
10K Map (Bibs are Yellow and race start for 10k is 8:10am)
There are two aid stations on this course. One at Poplar Street as participants turn right onto the Coastal Trail and the other is at the 10k turnaround at Dunes Beach.
Half Marathon (Bibs are Blue and race start for half marathon is 7:15am)
The Half Marathon course follows the 5k/10k course but proceeds north past the 10K turn around to Mirada Road. At Mirada runners and walkers will be turned around and will retrace the course south past Poplar Street where they will enter Wavecrest. Runners and walkers will then turn around at the end of Redondo Beach Road where runners and walkers will again retrace the course back to Poplar Street. Participants will continue past Poplar Street on the Coastal Trail heading North to Kelly State Beach where they will re-join the 5K/10K courses turning Left on Kelly, Right on Potter, and and Left on Miramontes to return to Hatch Elementary.
This course has six aid stations (Poplar Street at Coastal Trail aid station (Participants will pass this aid station 3x's), 10K turn around station (Participants will pass this aid station 2x's) and Redondo Beach Road (Participants will pass this station 1x). Note: THIS IS A MIXED TERRAIN (90% asphalt and 10% dirt/trail) RUN INCLUDING DIRT/TRAIL RUNNING IN WAVECREST PROPERTY.
