2023 ESSEX CENTURION

in support of the SWO Gleaners

Welcome to the 4th annual ESSEX CENTURION!

Since 2020 Essex Centurions have rolled 1/3 of the distance to the Moon. Over 119,000k and counting. Let the adventure continue!

For 2023, we've introduced some new twists just to keep things interesting and bring in others. To do so, past participants will be challenged to Share-the-Knowledge by becoming guides and event ambassadors. Newcomers will be challenged by participating for the first time!

Also, E-Bikers are now welcome to participate; biking in Metro Detroit counts too; Fat Bikers can challenge themselves on the Rough Rider 100k Trail Loop; and, we have added an all-paved loop for roadies. Details can be found in the Routes, Rules and Points sections.

ONCE AGAIN IT'S FREE! But please consider supporting our chosen charity, the SWO Gleaners. Whether you ride or not, an $8 donation to the SWO Gleaners makes 100 servings of soup. $25 (or more) gets you a charitable tax receipt. There will be a matching contribution for each dollar raised up to $1,000.

Note this change from last year: To be counted as a completion, you need to show that you rode the entire mileage claimed (ie. 100 miles to claim an Imperial Centurion) - of which a minimum of 2/3s (last year was 50%) was on one of the official loops.
