Run in the World's Widest Canyon and enjoy a fun packed camping weekend for all the family and your buddies.
The Canyon Country Classic will be held at the 4000 acre 'Eurella' property in Glen Alice right in the heart of the Capertee Valley only 3 hours drive from Sydney.
The runs will start from the horse and cattle paddocks and wind their way through the firetrails, single tracks, gravel access roads, escarpment trails and grass paddocks. Massive rock walls rise high above you in all directions. The awesome Pantoney's Crown is visible from the paddocks. The property is a working farm with many cattle and horses in the paddocks. There is an abundance of wildlife in the bush from the wallabies, wombats and some amazing birdlife.
This course is not as gnarly as our other BMF Racing events (like Ridgy-Didge, Glow Worm Tunnel and Blue Goat Backyard) so is a great chance for an intro to trail running or an opportunity to get a fast time on a runnable course. Saying that, all races from Half marathon to Ultra will have some technical single tracks, hills to climb and descend and the occasional creek crossing.
For the mountain goats we have the Friday afternoon Mountain Dash. First Male and First Female take the loot! $100 prize money for first runners to Eagle Rock. 1.5km and 350m+ of elevation.
We will have a 50km Ultra, 30km, Half Marathon, 14km, 7km and a Kids Race over the Saturday and Sunday.
Ultramarathon and 30km will be ITRA rating events. Six Foot Track Marathon will require an ITRA rating for qualification post 2023.
FREE Camping at the Canyon Country Camping Eurella property for Participants and Under 16 kids.

Children living with this serious inflammatory autoimmune disease experience significant daily pain and are at high risk of permanent joint deformities and loss of vision if not diagnosed early and treated effectively. They suffer isolation resulting from their physical and social limitations and miss significant school time through illness and the demands of treatment such a joint injections and ongoing injections and infusions of steroids and strong immune-suppressing medications. JAFA was started by a group of concerned grandparents and parents to drive research and better services and support for affected children.
