BlackToe Holiday 10km

As part of our 10-year anniversary, we are excited to announce that BlackToe Running is hosting our first official 10k road race and Kids 1k fun run, all in support of the wonderful work that is being done by Community Centre 55!

This is an end-of-season race that is an opportunity for the entire Toronto run community to come together and celebrate another year of running, friendly competition, and community. Come fa-la-la-la-long for the fun!

This race was formerly known as the Tannenbaum 10K, but has been renamed for inclusiveness and to reflect new management. We can't wait to bring the Toronto community an exciting new race experience!

We have an amazing prize structure set up to support your fundraising efforts, with excellent prizes being awarded for every donation of $50 or more. Come get into the community spirit with us at the 2023 BlackToe Holiday 10K!

Course - The race will take place on the Martin Goodman Trail heading west from Kew-Balmy Beach and then south on Leslie St. It then goes west on Unwin Ave. into the Outer Harbour Marina entrance for a turnaround before heading back. This is always a shared path with the public, but there will be course set-up and direction officials on-course.

Aid Stations

Hydration will be available at the 2.5K/7.5K mark and at the turnaround.

Event Medical

Certified event medics will be at the Start/Finish and mobile on the course to make sure you're safe.

Weather

The event will take place rain, snow, or shine. However, participant safety is first and foremost in our planning. In race week, the days leading up to race day and on race morning, race management will be closely monitoring the weather forecast for any elements that may affect the event. If there is concern, all participants will be notified, and plans will be adjusted accordingly to ensure participants' health and safety.

Race Day Highlights!

Fun Kids Race - Not only can parents run with their kids but we will also have a hype squad and pacers to make sure the our littlest runners have an awesome and safe race experience!

All Runners Celebrated - We won’t forget about the back-of-the-pack crowd! The last participant to cross the finish line will be escorted across and receive a special prize to celebrate their accomplishment.

Equity Best Practices - This race is committed to ensuring equity for women's, men's, non-binary, and gender-non identifying members of the community.

Fast Fun - For those who are feeling competitive, we will have a strong elite field complete with speedy pacers and prize money for top finishers.
