What is the Registration Limit for both events?
Currently there will be a registration cap of 1500 for the 10K and 100 for the 1K kids event. This may be increased depending on demand.
What are the processing fees that I'm charged with my registration?
- Race Roster collects a fee on all transactions (processing fees) as this is an industry standard. Their team assists our race from beginning to end, and this fee allows them to provide meaningful customer support to all participants, covers merchant costs of processing the transaction, the technology costs of developing an online registration platform, includes event cancellation protection for participants in the case of an emergency, and ensures that the online race experience is seamless for all.
What are the age requirements? How old must I be on Race Day?
- There are no age requirements for the event. For anyone under 12, we encourage them participate in our Kids 1km Race.
If I live outside of Canada, can I register for the event?
- Yes. International visitors who will be in Toronto on race day are welcome to register and participate
If the race is cancelled for any reason, will we be refunded our entry fee?
- In the case of an in-person race cancellation, participants will have the opportunity to participate virtually and receive their technical running hat and commemorative finisher medal.
- Entry fees are non-refundable and non-deferable. That means that once the money is received and accepted, participants will not receive a refund and will not be able to defer their entry to another year.
- There is a deferral option available for pregnant runners only.
Can I cancel my registration?
- Race entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable, as noted in the waiver you accepted during registration. However, you can transfer your registration to another participant.
Can I transfer my registration to another participant?
- Yes, participants can transfer their registration until November 26th at 9:00pm EST.
To transfer your registration to another person, visit the Event Page and click the 'Transfer' button on the left-hand menu. There is a $10 administrative fee to transfer to another participant.
What is the design of the exclusive Holiday 10k Beanie and commemorative medal?
The design will be shared via our social media in October.
Will I receive a charitable tax receipt?
- Donations of $5 or more made to the Centre 55 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. These will be issued automatically once transactions are complete.
Does the event support a charity?
- Yes, this event is a fundraiser for Centre 55 which is a community-based organization catering to the needs of Toronto’s east end.
- Funds raised will go to Centre 55’s Share a Christmas Program. This program helps over 1200 families, seniors, and individuals at that are experiencing hard times during the Holiday season. Funds will go towards the items below:
- purchasing grocery gift cards for families, seniors, and individuals
- purchasing toys to children ages 0-12 years old
- purchasing gifts and gift cards for teens ages 13- 16 years old
- Top fundraising participants will also be eligible for additional prizes!
RACE DAY
What time should I show up on race day?.
- We recommend arriving 45 minutes before your race start time.
- 1K Kids Run - starts at 9:00am
- 10K Run - starts at 9:15am
What are the corrals?
Red - 45:00 and under
Yellow – 45:00 to 60:00
Green – 60:00 to 75:00
Blue – over 75:00
Corrals will be assigned at bib pickup!
When is Race Kit Pickup?
BlackToe Running Midtown – 2488 Yonge Street (Directions)
Wednesday November 29 (11:00am to 6:30pm)
Thursday November 30 (11:00am to 6:30pm)
BlackToe Running King West – 95 Bathurst Street (Directions)
Friday December 1 (11:00am to 6:30pm)
Saturday, December 2 (10:00am to 5:30pm)
**Race Day pickup is ONLY available to participants who reside outside the GTA from 7:30am to 8:30am on race morning.
Will there be baggage check available on race day?
- Yes, Baggage Check will be offered near the start line. Bags must be collected by 11am.
Will there be a water station on course?
- Yes! There will be a water station at the 2.5km and 7.5km marks
Is there water at the finish line?
- Water will be available at the post-race hydration station near the finish line.
Is there food at the finish line?
- Yes, participants will have access to snacks and refreshments in the post-race area.
Are there washrooms at the start line?
- Yes, this is a race and we know people gotta go!
Is there a course time limit for the races?
- Yes, the time limit for the 1km is 15 minutes and for the 10km participants have until 11am to complete the course.
Will the events be timed?
- Yes! The 10K & 1K events will be timed by Enfield Timing.
Will strollers be allowed on course?
- Strollers will be permitted for the 1K distance and for the 10K distance. For the 10K we ask that strollers start at back of the start corral for safety.
Can I participate with a support person?
- Yes! The participant will register using the online registration system. They can participate at no cost if they forgo the race kit and medal, complete the waiver and wear a GUIDE bib on front and back. Or they can simply register and run with you.

If you wish to be considered for an Elite entry, please submit a qualifying time to info@blacktoeholiday10km.com before November 1st. You must have run a 10km in the past 18 months that meets the following criteria. Women - 37:00, Men - 33:00.
