My Journey to Just Live is hosting a fundraiser event, on August 20th which happens to be the 2 year Cancer-versary date of Michelle’s diagnosis with Stage 4 Incurable Cancer. Michelle was diagnosed in 2021 with an ultra rare Sarcoma cancer called Eplithelioid Hemangioendothelima, EHE for short. Michelle has innumerable tumours throughout her body and takes a daily cancer treatment in hopes of stabilising the cancer for as long as possible.
She started running in January 2022, 5 months postpartum, and 4 months post diagnosis; she never had run before. Her goal was to set herself up for success, and was hopeful for the best possible outcome to tackle this bleak cancer diagnosis. Michelle is now often seen running, pulling and/or pushing all 3 of her children; Juliet (7), Adeline (4) and Hatton (1), just for fun. This event will have family and running at the heart, and with hope to raise funds along the way.
This event will be an Atlantic Chip Timing Event for the 5km and 10km Walk/Run; sponsored by Arsenault Bros. Construction and SFX Transport. It will take place at the Town of Cornwall, heading down Mercedes Drive accessing the trail system, and streets of Cornwall. The route takes you along a picturesque waterview, and throughout the trails within the woods. This is a looped event; with a clear, well marked, breakout section for the 5/10km route change.
There will be a 1km accessibility Walk/Run for all abilities and ages. This route will include Mascots, Disney Princesses, and Super Heros to add that extra fun for the kids!
Each runner/walker will receive a finish “medal,” a token of accomplishment, “I DID” to add to the back of their race shirts that read, “I CAN, I WILL.”
This event is shaping up to be a FULLY SPONSORED event making every dollar count, thanks to our generous sponsors; so let’s come together and support a great cause!
Be sure to register EARLY to ensure you get a Just Live Race kit that includes a Race T-Shirt (pending Sponsor) and Cinch Bag (sponsored by the Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada); oh, and there's a few surprises!

BIOVECTRA Virtual Just Live Run/Walk Event Closed
***BIOVECTRA SPONSORED EVENT***Join us for a Virtual Just Live Run 1km, 5km, 10km- You Set the Distance! The Just Live Fun Run Virtual event provides you with the chance to participate in the event without the need to travel. This Virtual event can be completed anytime, anywhere, however, if the participants would like their results to appear on our official virtual results page, they must complete their event between Aug 14-21. More information about how to submit your results will be sent via email. All participants will receive a participant package (Race Bib, Finished Decal, Vinyl Print for your own Race Shirt) by mail prior to the event. Registrations received AFTER July 31, 2023 WILL NOT be guaranteed race kits before event.

Family Fun Event
The Family Fun event, will kick off the day at 8:30AM, starting with the 1km Walk/Run event, followed by the 5km/10km event at 9:15. There will be door prizes drawn following the running events, and a BBQ from 10-12pm.
The Family Fun Run event will include items for purchase; such as Just Live Merch, BBQ hot dogs, drinks, candy bags, Face Painting, and Balloon Animals.
The fun continues with Bouncy Castles, Inflatable Yard Games, Popcorn, Sno Cones, and Cotton Candy; all sponsored by CHANCES. Lots of fun for all ages!
Strollers are welcome at all events, but please be mindful, the 5km/10km routes include a trail system with some slow incline hills and a decline hill on Ferry Road. Michelle will be there pushing/pulling up the hills alongside you; so let’s do it!
All Proceeds raised from this Fun Run event will be MATCHED by the Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada and the funds will be allocated to the PRO CARE EHE Research Team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. This event is shaping up to be a FULLY SPONSORED event making every dollar count so let’s come together and support a great cause!
