The Vicksburg Main Street Program, a non-profit organization, will host the 11th Annual Bricks and Spokes bicycle ride. Proceeds from the ride will go to further the mission and goals of the Vicksburg Main Street Program and assist Downtown Vicksburg in promotions, beautification, and economic restructuring. Bricks and Spokes is a great way to get your family moving and help sustain Downtown and Vicksburg and the wonderful business in our Downtown area!
Whether you are just starting out or an expert rider, Bricks and Spokes is a great ride for you! All rides will begin in beautiful Downtown Vicksburg and will travel south to the Old Mississippi River Bridge. Bricks and Spokes is the only ride that allows you to cycle across the Mighty Mississippi River!
Route Details:
The route will start at 1006 Washington St, Vicksburg, MS and travel across the Old Mississippi River Bridge and back into Mississippi. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as the route includes flat areas of Louisiana and the great rolling hills of Vicksburg and Warren County. The ride will be fully supported. Stick around and enjoy Perry's great Red Beans and Rice, free to all ride participants. Enjoy live music also!
Guidelines/Packet Pickup:
All types of bikes are welcomed as well as all ages of riders. Please make sure children under the age of 14 are accompanied by an adult. All riders must wear helmets. Friday Packet pick-up will be held at 1006 Washington St (Washington St. Park) in Downtown Vicksburg on Friday, October 1st from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Registration will NOT be available the morning of the ride but packet pickup will begin at 7:00 a.m. at 1006 Washington St (Washington St. Park), Vicksburg, MS The ride will start at the same location.
