Online and in-person registration for the 2024 Chilly Half Marathon will close on Saturday, March 2nd at 12:00Noon. Please note, if you register online on Saturday March 2nd, or before you MUST Pickup your race kit before the end of race kit pickup on Saturday, March 2nd. You CANNOT pickup your bib on race day. You MUST have a bib in order to race.

2024 Chilly Half Marathon

Join us on the first Sunday in March for Ontario's Premier Racing Event, The Chilly Half Marathon. This fast, flat and certified course will take you along Burlington's Beautiful downtown and waterfront.

The 2024 Finisher Medal is Truly One of a Kind!

This oversized medal is made up of hundreds of tiny chilli peppers in iridescent opal!

Anyone who places in their age category will get an additional medal during the awards ceremony!

This awards ceremony will take place inside the Burlington Performing Arts Centre start at 11:45AM. Age category awards will be for the top 3 runners in each age category in 5 year increments.

In-Person Race Details

Cancellation Policy

Please note that if the in-person event cannot proceed as planned, it will be switched to a virtual race. In the case of cancellation of the in-person race, we will not be issuing any refunds or returning the difference in pricing. You will still receive your race kit and can complete your race on your own and submit your results.

Race kit pickup:

ALL registered runners MUST arrange to pick up their race kit (shirt, timing bib and goodie bag) BEFORE race day. You can pick up your race kit during any of the times listed below. You may have someone else pick up your race kit on your behalf. In order to have someone else pick up for you, they must have a copy of your registration confirmation. There is also an option to have your race kit and bib mailed directly to you for an additional fee. The deadline to add shipping on to your registration is February 1st, 2024. You can add shipping on to your registration by clicking the store button on the right hand side of this page.

IMPORTANT: If you can't make the race, you CANNOT under any circumstances give your bib to another runner who is not registered for the race. It is illegal to run under someone else's identity and for safety reasons we need to know all of the runners participating in the race. You will be asked to show proof of photo ID when picking up your race bib. If someone else is picking up your race kit on your behalf they must provide a copy of your race registration confirmation.

Baggage Check:

Baggage check is available inside the Burlington Performing Arts Centre on race day starting at 8:00AM. You will be asked to provide a minimum donation of $5 to the Air Cadets for baggage check.

Race Results:

The 2024 Chilly Half Marathon will be timed through Sportstats. Track runners and view results after the race by clicking here, or by clicking the Sportstats logo below. You can also download the Sportstats App on to your mobile device to track your runner and get live updates! There will be timing mats at the following splits: 5KM, Turn Around (12.1KM), and 19.1KM.

This is a fast, flat and certified course! The course is certified through Athletics Canada, the certificate number is ON-2013-092-BDC. Please note the course will only be open for 3 and a half hours. Therefore, all runners must complete the race in 3 hours and 30mins or less.

Virtual Race Details

Track your virtual run/walk and submit your results for the 2024 Chilly Half Marathon using the ASICS Runkeeper™ app

The virtual race can be completed anytime between February 26th, 2024 and March 17th, 2024. Participants registering for the virtual race will still get a finisher's shirt and medal. You can either have your race kit mailed to you, or pick it up during any of our scheduled race kit pickups. Details on how to track and submit virtual results are listed below.

How to track your run/walk and record your results using the Runkeeper^TMapp:

1. From your mobile device, go to your Race Roster dashboard for this event HERE
2. Click on the “Connect to my app” button, where you will be asked to confirm your name within the app (confirm your name and the event will be added to your app)
3. Revisit the Runkeeper™ app when you are ready to participate. From your start screen, click the flag symbol (bottom right) and select the race to start recording.
4. Complete your distance and save the activity. Your results will be automatically posted to the Race Roster leaderboard HERE
5. From the results page, click on your name to see your finisher summary

How to submit your results without Runkeeper^TMapp:

Please submit the results for your virtual race on the results page.
