Raise money for Fragile X Research Foundation of Canada
The Fragile X Research Foundation of Canada (FXRFC) is a national non-profit, tax-exempt organization that facilitates community education, awareness and advocacy as well as supports and funds research into treatments of Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) and it's related conditions. Our Board of Directors is comprised of parents of individuals with FXS with a vision to create a world where FXS is recognized and supported in all aspects of health and social care, with effective and accessible treatments.
FXS is caused by a mutation of a single gene (FMR1) on the X chromosome and is inherited, usually unknowingly. Those with FXS can have intellectual developmental disabilities, behavioural and learning challenges, various physical characteristics as well as medical problems.
The FXRFC publish a quarterly newsletter and information materials, and are working to enhance their resources and connect FX communities across Canada.
Thank you for your donation! Funds will go towards supporting research to find Fragile X Syndrome treatments as well as facilitate social and medical care and education, and awareness and advocacy both locally and nationally.
