Space for life Foundation

The Space for life Foundation contributes to the philanthropic development of Space for life and to the scientific, educational, cultural, social and artistic missions of its five institutions: the Biodôme, the Biosphère, the Insectarium, the Botanical Garden and the Planétarium. The Foundation supports the implementation of projects, outside the walls, that benefit communities, in harmony with nature and towards a more just and inclusive socio-ecological transition. 

To get to know us better, here are some of the many projects that the Space for Life Foundation supports: 

- The Endangered Species Fund: To boost the conservation and research work of Space for life scientists and experts, the Foundation has created a fund to help halt the loss of biodiversity accelerated by the environmental crisis. 

- Nunavik Sentinels: This participatory science project is an entomological research and education program accessible in all 14 Nunavik communities. It aims to work with northern communities to teach young people to observe, identify, inventory and preserve the insects and other arthropods present in their environment. 

- Jérôme-Brisson-Curadeau Bursary: This bursary enables children from disadvantaged backgrounds to attend Space for life day camps free of charge. By 2024, 217 children in vulnerable situations will be able to take part.

Faithful to its vision, the Space for life Foundation is committed to being an agent of change by promoting concrete actions to ensure harmonious cohabitation between human and nature.
